Leaning into the more emotionally open and accessible sounds of Pop Punk, Collective's A Million Little Pieces manages to capture the melancholic sensation of being broken for the better. Expertly blending the weighty influences of Progressive Metal with the lyrical and melodic vulnerability of Pop Punk, dreamy guitar riffs and warmly overdriven bass come together with brief moments of bright metal to transport listeners into a sublimely musical soundscape - dismantling and assembling A Million Little Pieces over and over again.

The tone of this track is blissfully melancholic! That first 7/8 guitar part sets the stage so well, and the lead vocals are perfect in approach. Transitions between the softer and heavier moments are wonderful, and the driving 6/8-5/8 moments feel absolutely joyous! This is incredibly well constructed and executed - very immersive and deeply satisfying work across the board. Collective has a really impactful sound!
